Sensitive information and what we do not sell

Some profile and wellness fields may qualify as sensitive personal information under certain laws. We collect that information only when you choose to provide it or enable the relevant feature, and we use it only to provide the feature you requested, personalize your experience, maintain safety, or comply with law. We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

What we do not collect for advertising

We do not use your data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for targeted advertising. We do not capture the full content of pages you browse in Safari or other third-party apps outside Unscroller’s own flows.

3. How we use data

4. How we share data

Unscroller is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by social platforms or content providers. We do not sell personal information. We share the minimum necessary data with:

5. Legal bases for processing

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction that requires a legal basis, we generally process personal data because: it is necessary to perform our contract with you; you consented to the processing; we have legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services; or we must comply with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it, but that will not affect processing already performed.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a denial of your request. You may also have the right to opt out of sale or sharing, but we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise privacy rights, email support@unscroller.com or use the contact methods listed on unscroller.com/support/. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. If the law in your region gives you the right to use an authorized agent, you may do so subject to verification requirements.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, satisfy tax or accounting obligations, respond to legal requests, and keep limited backup or audit records.

Retention periods vary by category. For example, we generally keep account and profile data while your account is active; billing and transaction records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, fraud, and dispute handling; moderation and safety records for as long as needed to investigate abuse and protect users; and logs or analytics for as long as reasonably needed for diagnostics, security, and product analysis.

You can delete your account in the Unscroller app at Settings → Account Management → Delete Account. If you cannot access the app, use unscroller.com/support/delete-account/ or email support@unscroller.com. When account deletion completes, we delete or deidentify account data linked to your profile unless we need to retain limited information for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, claims handling, chargebacks, backup restoration, or other purposes allowed by law. Apple, Google, and Stripe may keep their own billing and transaction records under their legal and operational requirements.

8. Security and international transfers

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

9. Children

Unscroller is designed for people who are at least 16 years old or the age of digital consent in their region, whichever is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that threshold. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will investigate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our products, legal requirements, or data practices evolve. The “Effective date” above reflects the latest version. If we make material changes, we may provide notice in the app, on the website, by email, or by another reasonable method.
